The Africa-Europe Cluster of Research Excellence in Health, Gender, and Sexualities (CoRE HGS).
Our Research
CoRE HGS seeks to advance interdisciplinary research on health in the context of gender and sexualities. By bringing together perspectives from public health, medicine, social sciences, and related disciplines, we aim to generate new knowledge on the social, cultural, political, and healthcare-related factors that shape health and wellbeing. Particular attention is given to populations whose health needs are often overlooked or underserved. Through equitable Africa–Europe collaboration, we strive to produce research that contributes to improved health outcomes, social inclusion, and evidence-informed policy and practice.
